• Welcome to ACPTR!

Welcome to the Army of CP Training Regiment. Founded in 2008 by Omega3, over 200 cadets have passed through the ACPTR classroom and graduated to become some of the greatest members of the ACP community. Our graduates have gone on to become some of the most influential members of the army community and members of the ACP leadership and higher command! Today the tradition endures and the ACPTR remains the premier institution for training the ACP soldiers.

Good Leadership

Hello there, I am Dr.RABBIT!

Today, I am going to be explaining my recent inactivity to the leaders of ACPTR, but for you cadets, talking about how you can be a legendary leader!

Firstly, to the ACPTR Owners: It’s been tough for me. I’ve got major exams coming up and my internet’s been down for a week, so it’s been hard to stay active, but I will be much, much more active once those horrid exams are over.

So, have you ever wished you could be like….Boomer?  Shag Shab? Oagal? Being voted in elections is certainly possible, but it requires 3 things- Loyalty, Attitude and Patience. By Loyalty, I mean that you should only stick to 2 armies at most, and choose to fight for ACP should there be a war between the two. If you really must join 2 armies, join a close ally of ACP so you aren’t faced with the test of your loyalty by the other army. Loyalty will almost certainly earn you a better reputation, which means you will be more likely to get votes from your soldiers. It will also mean that you can be more active considering the fact that you can focus on being active on 1 army rather than skipping and hopping through millions of armies. Secondly, Attitude is a key factor in being popular. You must always be friendly and disciplined towards ACP. This means behaving on chat, enforcing rules but not TOO strictly, boosting morale for the troops and doing whatever you can to help people out. A friendly attitude will always make you a well-respected leader in ACP. Thirdly, you need PATIENCE- you probably aren’t gonna get 3ic at your first election- but you will always win one eventually once your troops begin to trust you over time.

Now, for some tips for being leader:

  • Always respect the opinions of your troops, if they are constructive. A democratic army like ACP should always accept the opinions of others, and acknowledge them.
  • NEVER arrange events that are ‘BE THERE OR DEMOTION!’ events. CPPA are lucky to have survived with all of those, but you won’t be so lucky. Forcing troops to attend events will make them hate you. This alone will make them think that CP armies are a duty over a hobby and will immediately quit, because face it, they have lives- exams, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends etc.
  • Make sure that ACP is equal- by that I mean equal to anyone of any class, religion and nationality. This may seem cliche but I’ve seen a lot of CP armies with a grudge against different classes and religions.. *cough*CPPA*cough*.
  • Be active, another obvious one. Inactive for too long without reason=insta coup.
  • If necessary, hire another leader of the opposite nationality (If you are UK, hire a US leader) to help keep control of the other nationality divisions and offer you support and help.
  • Know your tactics- make sure you use them tactically, at the right times. For instance, should your enemy diss ACP, diss ‘em back!
  • STAY democratic. If you have an idea that no one likes, scrap it! If someone gets the most votes at a 3ic election but you dislike them, screw it, only demote them if they cause trouble!

A note on 3ic elections: Only ever allow GENERALS who you TRUST(ones that are loyal, active and friendly I mean) to be in the elections. Also, past leaders and 3ic’s generally aren’t very popular 3ic candidates if they’ve been leader too many times. Sure, an old 3ic who had to leave for personal reasons but is still active as general is okay, but don’t keep recycling the old leaders that lead for years.

Slider’s Disclaimer: Overlook, or not. When looking at retirees returning consider: Were they good before they retired and do you think they deserve a second chance and could ACP (or whatever army you’re leading) benefit from their return?

That’s all I have to say for now, over and out!
