• Welcome to ACPTR!

Welcome to the Army of CP Training Regiment. Founded in 2008 by Omega3, over 200 cadets have passed through the ACPTR classroom and graduated to become some of the greatest members of the ACP community. Our graduates have gone on to become some of the most influential members of the army community and members of the ACP leadership and higher command! Today the tradition endures and the ACPTR remains the premier institution for training the ACP soldiers.

Handing Over Control

I’ll try keep this as quick as possible but I think it is about time that everyone understands what is going on with ACPTR in terms of control over the website.

I was originally the main owner of the website as I created it after it was hacked over 3 years ago now, but now the ACP owners have decided that they want to be able to control ACPTR more and be able to oversee it. Now of course at first I did not want to do this as I have owned this site for 3 years now and no one has ever complained about me being owner.

However I have come to the realisation now that I am obviously not active enough as people want me to be and I have to follow the chain of command and as much as I would like to think that I am high up there in the chain of command there are still people higher then me and I have to follow their orders/requests and do as they say.

Now as much as I appreciate everyone trying to back me up and trying to get me to retain ownership I would like to request that none of you complain about this final decision as I assure you no one is more upset about this than I am. However for the greater good of this training regiment it is best if Boomer20 has full control of the site as he is more active then I am.

I don’t want anyone ‘hating’ him for this, I want you to show each other respect, the sort of respect that you would give to me. I will still be here as Admin but just not the main admin. Most people don’t like change including me but with the leadership that we have now and the people running this training regiment I hope that we can all come to together and work together as a team to get the most amount of cadets possible to graduate.

I thank you all in advance for your co-operation,

Former ACPTR Leader, Former ACP 4ic

Boomer’s Edit: As a footnote to this post, I’d like to thank Declan for transferring the website to me. The primary reason for this was to enable the current ACP leadership to oversee ACPTR and be able to appoint the necessary people to keep it running effectively and in line with ACP’s overall goals. I will be instructing those who will be maintaining ACPTR to operate it similarly to how it was done in the past, with primarily mods (or retirees if they’d like to help) running the classes and website, only this time they will have more direct support and oversight from the ACP leadership. Declan will remain an admin on the site, and will be an adviser to the leaders when he is available/needed. We will have a bit of reorganization first to get active staff and leaders [see Gar’s post HERE], so stay tuned for more information. Thank you to the ACPTR staff, past and present, for your support and patience as we get things up to speed once again.

Matre: If I may, Declan, you know every decission that involves keeping the ACPTR active will almost always have my support. I must admit I watch over ACPTR more than ACP itself, being in the position of retired advisor (or whatever the actual name is). That is because of the hard work both me and Twingy went through when the first site was hacked, and I’d never ever want to see it on a bad state again. All in all, there’s no better person to choose other than Boomer to whom the site should be transferred to. I trust Boomer will do an excellent work as he’s always done. And please, keep on turning recruits into soldiers!

Aeropos: Thanks for transferring the website to Boomer. I garentee that it will be in good hands (its Boomer for crying out loud 😉 ), and ACPTR will get better and always find new ways to improve! Look at your inbox tomorrow. AKA ( 8/1/14). Once again thanks, we really appreciate what you have done for ACPTR for the past 3 years!
