• Welcome to ACPTR!

Welcome to the Army of CP Training Regiment. Founded in 2008 by Omega3, over 200 cadets have passed through the ACPTR classroom and graduated to become some of the greatest members of the ACP community. Our graduates have gone on to become some of the most influential members of the army community and members of the ACP leadership and higher command! Today the tradition endures and the ACPTR remains the premier institution for training the ACP soldiers.

Reformation of the ACPTR/Planning for April

With our now Vice- US Director Lumarnara deciding to make a director for UK and US divisions, a few changes will be taking place in order to ensure a bright future for this wonderful program.

Last time we had a grand reopening for ACPTR, we only had a week to plan. This will not be the case. Over a month of planning is going to be put into the new ACPTR to be opened on April 1st.

A current problem I’m seeing with certain classes providing no actual benefit to a new troop. Things such as patrolling and certain leadership aspects have become either irrelevant in armies or are easily self-learned these days.

Another problem is that the cadets are learning too many subjects too fast causing the teachers to run out of ideas when trying to teach classes without reiterating things said in previous classes. This is due to the fact that we are simply scheduling too many classes a week, allowing only 2 break days. With that being said, we obviously need to have less classes a week over a more spanned out period of time. This will require a revision to the current medals system in place. As of last month, the grading system was as follows:

  1. Less than 6 medals=F
  2. 6-8 medals=D
  3. 9-11 medals= C
  4. 12-13 medals=B
  5. 14-15 medals=A
  6. 16+ medals=A+

With that system in place, a cadet receives 2 medals for full attendance to a class and 1 medal for either arriving to the class late or leaving the class early. This medals and grading system has many flaws. To receive an A+ a cadet could attend half the classes and receive an A+. Last month the maximum amount of medals that were able to be earned was 40, more than double the requirement for A+.  The passing grade is also a bit low as you would only need to attend 3 classes to earn it.

One of our biggest problems at this time is staff in-activeness. This month we lost half of our staff that had to be fired because they did not do what was expected of them. 3 of those 4 had not been on ACPTR chat since being given their roles as teachers in ACPTR. Therefor we will need to hire new staff who will devote some time from their day to actively post on the site and assist teaching cadets. We will be hiring new staff which you can see the applications below.

There are several other minor problems that can be discussed about later. For now, here is a list of what needs to be covered:

  • Eliminate subjects which provide no benefit to cadets
  • Possibly add more subjects
  • More organization
  • Improved class scheduling
  • Revisions to the grading and medals system
  • More active staff
  • More types of posts on the site
  • Better post frequency on the site
  • Possibly ACPTR staff site
  • Open every other month

Along with these changes, we will be removing the “Vice-Director” title and adding 1 ACPTR director per division.

We will fix our staff problem right here. The new requirements for staff is that each staff member are now required to  make 1 post a month and to check the site daily, which I hope you already do. Failure to comply with these requirements results in a strike each time you don’t meet the standards for the requirement. 3 strikes, you’re out. Strikes reset every 2 “class months.” Good posts to make are mini- lessons. An example can be found here.

If you find your name in italics on the staff page you will be required to post a comment in the following format:

What is your CP name:

From 1-10, how active do you think you are in the ACPTR?:(Be Honest)

Do you agree to the requirements set? If you do not agree/do not believe you will be able to meet the requirements, now is your time to leave.:

You will have until March 3RD to comment on this active count without receiving a strike. If I have to tell you that there is an active count, after that date, you will receive a strike and keep your position. If you do not comment by the 6th you will be relieved of your duties as an ACPTR  staff member.
