• Welcome to ACPTR!

Welcome to the Army of CP Training Regiment. Founded in 2008 by Omega3, over 200 cadets have passed through the ACPTR classroom and graduated to become some of the greatest members of the ACP community. Our graduates have gone on to become some of the most influential members of the army community and members of the ACP leadership and higher command! Today the tradition endures and the ACPTR remains the premier institution for training the ACP soldiers.

ACPTR Meeting Results//STAFF PLEASE READ

Slider: On another note sorry I couldn’t attend the meeting. I for some reason thought the meeting was an hour later than it actually was.

Twingy: I like the whole democracy spin to it all, but in all honesty it isn’t neccessary. Superoo and Slider are the leaders and they should decide any non-drastic ACPTR changes themselves. Also, 3 isn’t a majority anyway, as there are like 15 of us overall. Make the decisions yourselves – we trust in your decision making.

Well, we held the first ACPTR Meeting under the Superoo13 and Slider568 leadership and I believe it went quite well. If you decide to read on in this post, you will be able to read the explanations of the new orders passed by the ACPTR Staff February 2013.

ORDERS: EVERY ORDER NEED THREE SIGNATURES TO INDICATE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND ARE EFFECTIVE

#1: JOIN PAGE RECRUITING- In this recruiting idea, we decided and agreed that EVERY 2 days, a comment would be made on the ACP Join Page. This comment would hopefully get new ACP Troops who would possibly be looking to gain ranks very quickly, to join ACPTR. We hope that this idea would be successful.

#2: “LAST CHANCE” ACPTR POST- This is another recruiting idea, where the ACPTR Director would make a post on the ACP site, between the 10th and 14th of each month, talking about how the ACPTR Join Page closes very shortly and it is your last chance to be registered. This would be accompanied by a post on the ACP site at the beginning of every month promoting ACPTR.

#3: Weekly Staff Review//Staff Employment- This is an incentive to get the ACPTR Staff to work harder each month and a fairer way to keep staff employed. Every week, there is a WEEKLY STAFF REVIEW, where EVERY staff will be given a score out of 10. If a staff get 5/10, 4/10, 3/10, 2/10, 1/10 or 0/10 then it is counted as a FAIL for that week. If a staff member FAILS for 3 CONSECUTIVE weeks in a row, they will be asked to leave ACPTR.

COMPLETION: PASSED (UNDER SUPERINTENDANT’S  REVIEW)

Superoo: Okay, we will instead have a “FailingAcceptableGood” scoring system, but if a staff member gets “Failing” for 3 CONSECUTIVE weeks in a row, they will be given a warning. It is then up to the ACPTR Directors to decide upon their future here.

Twingy: As Levan, Dec and I all flagged up on this, I thought it needed looking at. 1-10 is too complicated and far reaching, for one, and also it makes it too easy for one person to be the absolute worst and one to be the absolute best, when often there’s a lot of bad people and a lot of good people. I suggest switching it to a simple “FailingAcceptableGood” scoring system.

Also, you can’t expect other staff members to be putting other staff members down. It will create rifts and is unfair on everyone. It’s up to the leaders to make the judgements (one rating themselves, Superoo can rate Slider and Slider rate Superoo)

Finally, I worry this is too much of a defined way of firing people. If someone is inactive, for say 3 out of 4 weeks, they could still stay if they had an acceptable rating in between. This obviously isn’t good enough. Yes, I agree ratings should be issued but it should be up to Superoo and Slider’s personal opinion when they get fired – not a rating system.

#4: Staff Awards//Cadet Awards- Using the WEEKLY STAFF REVIEW score from each week, we will be able to determine STAFF OF THE MONTH. Every staff’s WEEKLY score will be added together and the Staff member with the highest score is STAFF of the MONTH. In the event of a tie, the ACPTR Leaders will decide. Staff of the Month will be given Owner on ACPTR chat for 2 days and ACP Chat Moderator for 2 days. CADET of the MONTH is awarded to the cadet with the highest number of medals in their class and will be given ACPTR Chat Owner for 2 days and ACP Moderator for 2 days.

#5: “JOIN ACPTR” BUTTON ON ACP SITE- Our proposal for this is to have a “JOIN ACPTR” BUTTON on the ACP Site UNDERNEATH the “JOIN” button and ABOVE the “RANKS” button. This button will be designed soon and we hope that it could be a moving GIF image to attract more attention. We believe this will be a good form of recruiting.

Superoo: I believe ACPTR should have a page on the ACP site to help promote it. I think that having a button on the ACP site below “JOIN” and above “RANKS will help. I am still sticking with this Order #6.

I think this could accidentally make people join the ACPTR instead of the ACP. This can’t happen – they have to join the ACP, and from there it’s easy enough to join the ACPTR.

#6: MONTHLY ACPTR MEETINGS- This would really help us to discuss topics and make changes in ACPTR if needed. Hopefully, we could organize a UK and a USA meeting in the future, so we can have better input by ACPTR staff.

  1. I sign them all

  2. I’d only add that I think 1-10 is a bit diverse. maybe just “Failing – Average – Good”

  3. I signed all. And I also agree with Tom, 1-10 is a bit ‘confusing’ in a sense.

  4. And couldn’t come to meeting, sorry 😦

  5. Good ideas here but I don’t like the one about scoring staff surely that should on be a managements job not everyone’s

  6. Am I allowed to do dis?

  7. This should be private post.
