Recruiting In a Nutshell

Hello ACPTR!

Sorry about my recent inactivity, lots of testing in school lately. So today I’m going to be talking about recruiting, everything you cadets need to know about recruiting is contained in this post. Recruits are the glue that holds armies together, if it wasn’t for recruiting how would we keep an incoming fresh supply of soldiers? Well we couldn’t. It’s up to all of you to do your part and recruit, I know it’s not the most fun job in CP armies but it’s all a part of your duty as ACP soldiers. In this post I’ll be summing recruiting all up and giving you recruiting tips for the different kinds of recruiting so lets start shall we?

1.) Club Penguin Recruiting

Recruiting on Club Penguin used to be the only kind of recruiting we had. It’s what built us. But nowadays due to Club Penguins speech filters it’s been making our job a lot harder, but despite that with a little time it can be effective.

First you’ll need to pick a good server, make sure it’s one ACP owns. The best servers are the ones with the most people on it because you’ll have a better chance of catching someone’s eye. Once you’ve logged on get in your uniform and start recruiting using phrases like “JOIN ACP TO PROTECT CP” or “DON’T BE MEAN TURN GREEN”, you could even make up your own with a friend but  make sure they show! Don’t use emotes or joke bombs during recruiting as it will scare off recruits. The best places to recruit are areas like the town or plaza, which are usually the most populated. If you do happen to attract a new recruit and they join ACP and start coming on chat, be nice to them. Give them tip and pointers and if you see them being bullied stick up for them! Noobs are targeted no matter what, it’s something we can’t stop but we can help them and defend them. If no one sticks up for them they’ll quickly get the wrong idea about ACP and leave for another army.

2.) Chat Recruiting

This is the other kind of recruiting, it was looked down upon for some time but everyone’s opinions about it changed once it started to catch on. This kind of recruiting isn’t as easy but it’s a bit more effective because you can talk to multiple people at once.

First pick a chat, the only chats we use are cheat chats like Riffy’s or Monochoco’s. Once you’ve pick a cheats site chat find some members that seem like they could be easily persuaded to join. Strike up a conversation first like “Hey you like Rockhopper too?” and slowly up steadily work up to asking them if they wanted to be able to protect Club Penguin or what not and finally give them the link to the ACP site and tell them all they’ll need to know to be a good ACP soldier. After they join, if they join make sure their first experiences in ACP are good and maybe give them a few more tips. Like I said before if they’re not happy they’ll head for the hills. But since this is a bit more complicated kind of recruiting, I’ll give you a few more tips you’ll need.

  • Don’t try to recruit mods or owners, they’ll instantly ban you
  • Always strike up a conversation with a member first, or they’ll just ignore you
  • If they don’t want to join, be nice about it and give them the link anyways tell them if they change their mind they’re always welcome to join
  • Try recruiting multiple people at once
  • Only recruit in PC
  • If you get banned, go to another chat instead
  • Never recruit on army chats
  • Try to recruit noobs, people who seem like they’ve been around a long time won’t want to join and they’ll report you to the moderators and get you banned
  • Always be polite

There you have it! If you have any other questions find me on ACP chat.
